Seattle, WA 13,000 sqft

At the heart of Seattle’s creative corridor, Getty Images has long been a beacon of visual storytelling.  The newly refreshed headquarters space reflects the company’s global influence while honoring its Pacific Northwest location.

The design approach centered on elevating functionality through visual clarity.  The introduction of an elevated, clean, modern palette was inspired by Getty’s iconic black-and-white branding, while also respecting the quasi-industrial aesthetic developed a decade ago.  Warm wood tones and textured finishes that echo the region’s natural landscape serve to soften the palette. The entrance area, designed to evoke the feel of looking through a camera lens, features a dynamic media wall showcasing curated imagery from Getty’s archives—an immersive nod to the company’s legacy.

A key highlight is the revamped café and social hub, designed to encourage cross-team interaction. With curated photography installations from Getty’s extensive archive, locally sourced materials, and sustainable design choices throughout, the refreshed headquarters is not just a workplace, it’s a living gallery of Getty’s mission to move the world with imagery.

This project represents work under previous employment.
