Located in Oak Brook, Illinois, the Ace Hardware Headquarters is a workplace designed to reflect the brand’s enduring values: community, dependability, and service. Spanning several floors and housing over 1,000 employees, the campus brings together multiple departments under one roof while creating opportunities for collaboration and connection across teams.
The office design emphasizes clarity and cohesion, with a balanced mix of open workspaces, private offices, and shared meeting zones that support both focus and flexibility. Throughout the building, material choices and spatial cues nod to the brand’s legacy: warm woods, durable surfaces, and intuitive layouts that mirror the helpfulness and accessibility found in Ace’s retail stores.
Amenity-rich and employee-centered, the headquarters features a full-service café, fitness center, outdoor workspaces, and gathering hubs that foster a sense of community and belonging. From first impression to daily experience, the space supports a culture built on trust, teamwork, and pride in being “the helpful place.”
